‘Broadway’s Biggest Hit’ is coming to Riyadh by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City

The world's most famous stage performance, The Phantom of the Opera, is making its spectacular Saudi Arabia debut this coming autumn at the Arena in Riyadh on October 13th, 2023 for the limited season. Ever since its premiere at London's West End in October 1986 and has since been seen by more than 130 million people worldwide
Andrew Lloyd Webber's blockbuster musical has taken the world by storm with over 13,000 performances and 30 years on stage.
Based on the eponymous novel by Gaston Leroux, 'The Phantom of the Opera' tells the story of a musical genius living under the Paris Opera House who develops a fiery obsession with a beautiful soprano, Christine Daae. The deeply emotive play, which explores the corners of jealousy, passion and madness, has received acclaim by critics worldwide and over 70 major theatre awards during its lifetime. Broadway Entertainment Group and MMG bring this latest production to Riyadh city with a cast, crew and orchestra of 100 members, paired with breathtaking scenery to bring the show to life.

To further immerse the audience into the world of The Phantom, the production showcases an array of 600 meticulously crafted costumes, capturing the elegance and fashion of the 1930s. The sets, intricate in design, transport viewers to an iconic Paris, vividly bringing the haunting tale to life.
